Julia Louis Dreyfus reveals her breast cancer diagnosis

Julia Louis-Dreyfus says she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. The star of Veep and Seinfeld posted word of her illness Thursday on social media. On her Twitter account, the actress wrote that one in eight women get breast cancer. She wrote: “The good news is that I have the most glorious group of supportive and caring family and friends, and fantastic insurance through my union. The bad news is that not all women are so lucky, so let’s fight all cancers and make universal health care a reality.” We wish her the best!

Former vice president Joe Biden sent a message of support to Veep star Julia Louis-Dreyfus on Thursday, after the actress disclosed that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Biden tweeted a photo of himself with Dreyfus in character as fictional vice president Selina Meyer from the HBO hit, jauntily strolling the halls of the White House. Biden wrote: “We Veeps stick together. Jill and I, and all of the Bidens, are with you, Julia.” Julia replied, “Yes we do. Love back to all of you.”
