Who knew they were still together? Bananarama is going on tour!

The original three-piece Bananarama is hitting North American for their first dates on the continent in 30 years. Pollstar reported the trek features the iconic '80s trio -- Sara Dallin, Keren Woodward, and Siobhan Fahey, who quit the band back in 1988, before the group began touring properly. The group is remembered for their MTV-era Top 10 smashes, such as 1984's "Cruel Summer," which hit Number Nine; the 1986 chart-topper, "Venus"; and the 1987 hit "I Heard A Rumour" which peaked at Number Four.

The group said in an official statement: "America, you’ve been waiting for this one! It took a little while but we’re finally coming to North America as a trio, and we’re excited to give you an unforgettable show." We last caught up with Sara Dallin back in 2009 around the time of Bananarama's last album Viva, and she explained how the group was updating its sound

Y'know, we just set out basically to make an album that was a pop-dance album that basically without losing sort of the Bananarama song that was modern and contemporary."

  • Bananarama will next perform on November 12th in Glasgow, Scotland.
