3 year old boy left in a corn maze

A three-year-old boy who was left alone in a corn maze in Utah wasn't reported missing by his family until the next morning, US media reports. The boy spent the night with welfare workers after he became separated from his family in the Crazy Corn Maze in northern Utah on Monday evening (local time).Another woman who had been visiting the attraction raised the alarm after finding the distraught child about 7:30pm.However the child's family had returned home and didn't raise the alarm with police the next morning.Kendall Schmidt, the co-owner of the maze which is located just outside Salt Lake City, told The Washington Post the boy was too upset to tell them his name when he was found."He was crying and upset and obviously scared," Ms Schmidt said."We were trying to calm him down."Children often get lost at the maze, she said, so when the child was found, "we weren't in panic mode right away".West Jordan Police Sergeant Joe Monson said he didn't know how the boy was separated from his mother, who called about 7:45am the next morning. He said the family lived in a home with multiple families and a group of them had gone to the maze together.Sergeant Monson said investigations were continuing
