The mail must be delivered...even where wildfires burned everything

Wildfires have consumed over 170,000 acres in California since Sunday and thousands have taken refuge in shelters as their homes have burned. But for the United States Postal Service, the deliveries must go on. In a devastated neighborhood in Santa Rosa, a professional drone cinematographer caught some astonishing footage of one mail carrier’s surreal shift.  Douglas Thron is a freelance cinematographer who was getting drone footage of the Coffey Park neighborhood for The Today Show when he noticed the carrier continuing to do his job. He called what he saw “a trippy thing … I was shocked to see him because most of the roads were blocked off, but he obviously had access.”
