JUDGE WROTE AN EVICTION NOTICE FOR MOM’S OVERDUE BABY

f you’ve never experienced the agony that is being pregnant and past your due date, you should count yourself lucky. There’s the extreme discomfort, the nervousness, and the strong desire to finally, finally see your baby. Those feelings can lead to some extreme actions, like getting a judge to issue an eviction notice for your overdue baby. Kaylee Bays was expecting her third child when she went into labor last week. Unfortunately, her labor stalled and she was sent home by the hospital. The next day, tired and eager to bring her baby into the world, she went back to her job as a judicial assistant at the Fourth District Court in Utah and jokingly asked Judge Lynn Davis to draft up an eviction notice for her unborn child. Surprisingly, the eviction notice worked! A little less than 12 hours after the notice was signed and officiated, Kaylee’s daughter, Gretsel, was born.
