WEATHER CHANNEL GOOFS UP FOOTAGE OF IMPLODING GEORGIA DOME

In Atlanta on Monday, crowds gathered to watch the implosion of the Georgia Dome. The former home turf of the Atlanta Falcons was the largest domed stadium in the U.S. and had been in use for 25 years before its historic demolition. If you weren’t in the city and wanted to see the dome fall, you could have tuned into the Weather Channel’s live coverage. At least, that was the network’s plan. Atlanta’s public transit system had other ideas. Viewers got to see the implosion start — then a city bus pulled in front of the camera.
