Mom puts a recorder in her daughter's backpack and now she's arrested

A Virginia mother is now facing criminal charges after sending her daughter to school with a digital audio recorder in her backpack. The 4th grader said she was being bullied, mom got no response from the school so she wanted to get evidence to make sure her daughter wasn't lying. But school officials found the recorder and police have charged her with felony intercepting wire, electronic or oral communications, and misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She could face 5 years in jail. Her attorney told CNN that she wanted to know if this school was a safe place for her daughter and she was shocked that the school went to the police instead of talking with her to address their concerns.
