23 PASSENGERS TAKEN OFF CARNIVAL CRUISE SHIP AFTER ON-BOARD FIGHTS

A Carnival cruise ship in the South Pacific docked early this past weekend so that 23 people could be taken off in Australia after the passengers, who were all members of one family, were involved in fights and other disruptive behavior on the 10-day cruise. Passengers said there had been several incidents involving the family members on the Carnival Legend, and some people were even locking themselves in their cabins for safety. But it came to a head in a brawl early Friday (February 16th). Cellphone video shows passengers fighting with each other and security officers, who were seen kicking passengers after they were down on the floor. After the disruptive family was taken off Friday, the rest of the passengers disembarked on Saturday. The police and Carnival are both conducting investigations.
