FERGIE APOLOGIZES FOR NATIONAL ANTHEM PERFORMANCE

Fergie is apologizing for her rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner on Sunday night. The singer, who was chosen to sing the national anthem at the 2018 NBA All-Star Game, caused quite the controversy when she delivered a slow, sultry version of the song. Fergie says she was “honored” when the NBA asked her to sing the national anthem and that she was trying to do “something special” with her version.

… Meanwile, Roseanne Barr — who butchered the Anthem at a 1990 baseball game — joked on Twitter: “Who saw Fergie’s national anthem performance at the NBA All-Star Game? I think mine was better lowkey.”
