A 103-year-old Utah woman was given the best surprise she could ever ask for. Lillian Grant was given a cat for her birthday by her friends at Ridgeview Gardens Assisted Living. A few years ago, Grant's cat Sammy passed away and since then, she’s wanted to have a feline friend again. The assisted living staff reached out to the St. George Animal Center and adopted nine-year-old Marley on Grant's behalf. At her party, Grant thought that Marley was just visiting for her birthday, but she couldn't compose herself after finding out the little cat was coming to live with her.
