Florida police drive special needs students to their prom!

Police officers in Boynton Beach, Florida, took special needs students to their high school prom last Saturday night (May 5th). Scott Harris, a retired Boynton Beach Police Department officer whose wife teaches at John I. Leonard High School, told WPTV he wanted to give the special needs students the high school experience they deserve. He said, "We came up with this idea of having these students come to the prom since they wouldn't have the opportunity if we didn't take the chance and bring them here." The police department posted photos from the prom online, including one that said: "As much as tonight means to these students, it means the world to us to be able to escort them to their prom. We are full of #bbpdpride!"

KUDOS for being special to special needs kids.
