Senior prank: he puts his school up for sale on Craigslist

Unfortunately one teen's brilliant senior prank is coming with a big punishment. Eighteen-year-old Kylan Scheele of Missouri decided to place an ad on Craigslist on Friday (May 18th) that put his Truman High School up for sale, and highlighted the school's desirable features, including lots of parking, a large dining area, and its proximity to Walmart. He listed the asking price at $12,725. He also included a line that read "due to a loss of students coming up"-- a reference to the graduating seniors. Unfortunately, Scheele says he was told Wednesday (May 23rd) that he was suspended until the end of school and not allowed to walk for graduation. In a statement, his school district noted, "Out of an abundance of caution, administrators and police investigated and determined there was not a credible threat. A student who makes a real or implied threat, whether it is deemed credible or not, will face discipline." More than 1,100 people have signed a petition to allow Scheele to walk with his classmates during tomorrow's (Saturday, May 26th) graduation ceremony.
