New Jersey residents Jeffrey Colmyer, 42, and Tiffany Cimino, 34, both pled guilty to theft charges Tuesday, May 29, after stealing more than $1.4 million from Hurricane Sandy victims. They used a fraud scheme through a construction company, where they got 20 hurricane victims to pay for reconstruction, home elevations or repairs that were never completed. The couple gambled most of it away in Atlantic City casinos, while also purchasing a $17,000 diamond ring. Their plea deal calls for them to pay $1.45 million in restitution.
