Rescued Thai boys released from hospital and speak for the first time

The 12 Thai boys and their soccer coach who were freed from a flooded cave after more than two weeks in an amazing rescue were released from the hospital yesterday (July 18th). The members of the Wild Boars team were dressed in their soccer uniforms as they spoke to reporters in a press conference, recounting how they been trapped in the cave they were exploring by rising waters and had tried to dig their way out of the cave before being discovered by divers nine days later. The boys thanked the Thai Navy SEALs and everyone who helped with their rescue, and paid tribute to the former Thai Navy SEAL Saman Kunan, who died during the rescue operation while placing oxygen canisters along the underwater escape route.
