We now know who bought the house whose exterior was used to represent the Brady family's house in The Brady Bunch, with HGTV the new owner. David Zaslav, the CEO of parent company Discovery Inc., announced the news yesterday (August 7th) during a second-quarter earnings conference call, saying, "More details to come over the next few months, but we will bring all the resources to bear to tell safe, fun stories with this beloved piece of American TV history." Former boy band member Lance Bass of 'NSync had tried to buy the Studio City, California, home, and even thought he'd put in the winning bid, but the deal wasn't final, and HGTV came out on top. HGTV tweeted the first of several "clues" yesterday about their plans for the house, promising "something groovy."
