California mom donates 15,000 ounces of excess breast milk

A California mom has donated almost 500 quarts of breast milk to help other women feed their babies. Tabitha Frost (age 29) has hyperlactation syndrome, a rare condition which means she produces three times more milk than average. It means the mother-of-three must pump every three hours and devotes four hours a day to her labor of love, which she says is like a full-time job. Tabitha’s eight-month-old daughter Cleo consumes roughly 25 ounces per day and the rest is handed over to other families to feed premature or poorly nourished babies, or those who are allergic to formula.

… Tabitha estimates she produces around 90 ounces of breast milk daily and has so far donated approximately 15,000 ounces in total.
