Astronaut Buzz Aldrin’s not happy with the new moon landing movie First Man. The film, starring Ryan Gossling as Neil Armstrong, tells the true story of what it took to get a man on the moon. And while the film does show the American flag in a number of scenes — even twice in the newest trailer — Buzz thinks the movie’s anti-American because it doesn’t specifically show the planting of the American flag on the moon. Neil Armstrong’s sons have defended the new Ryan Gosling movie. A statement from Rick Armstrong and Mark Armstrong reads: “We do not feel this movie is anti-American in the slightest. Quite the opposite. But don’t take our word for it. We’d encourage everyone to go see this remarkable film and see for themselves. This story is human and it is universal. Of course, it celebrates an America achievement. It also celebrates an achievement ‘for all mankind’.”… First Man comes out October 12.
