Amazon's Jeff Bezos donates $2 BILLION to start a charitable fund

Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos announced yesterday (September 13th) that he's giving $2 billion to start a charitable fund that will open preschools in low-income neighborhoods and donate money to nonprofits that help homeless families. Bezos, who is worth some $160 billion and passed Bill Gates to become the world's wealthiest person this year, had asked his Twitter followers several months ago for ideas on how to give away his money. However, Bezos has not signed The Giving Pledge, the initiative begun by Gates several years ago that encourages billionaires to commit to giving away most of their wealth
