Believe it or not, Black Friday ads are already showing up...

Black Friday Ads are Already Showing Up!

You may not want to be thinking about Christmas shopping yet, but the first Black Friday ads have been spotted, more than six weeks before the actual day after Thanksgiving that traditionally kicks off the holiday shopping season. Ads from Dollar Tree are the first, according to BlackFriday.com, with sales on things like wrapping paper, ornaments and gifts for kids. Other stores' Black Friday ads aren't out yet, but BlackFriday.com does have lists that have been put out by Target, Walmart and Amazon of the top toys for this year's holiday season. If you are looking ahead and hope to get a jump on Black Friday sales on Thanksgiving Day, there are a growing number of stores following the recent reversal in the trend of opening on Thanksgiving evening or night, with Home Depot, Sam's Club, Lowe's and Barnes & Noble among those that will keep their doors closed on turkey day. (Probably because so many of us choose to shop online.)
