Nasa's InSight makes flawless landing on the Mars surface

NASA's InSight spacecraft touched down on Mars yesterday afternoon (November 26th), with Jet Propulsion Laboratory chief engineer Rob Manning calling the tricky landing "flawless." NASA flight controllers cheered as InSight landed on Mars, where it will carry out its unprecedented mission to investigate the planet's interior. Museums, planetariums and libraries across the U.S. held viewing parties to watch the landing, with NASA's TV coverage also shown on the giant screen in New York’s Times Square.
