Cops grieve the loss of Krispe Kreme after a truck fire destroyed donuts

A few Kentucky police officers decided to showcase their sense of humor in the brand new year. The Lexington officers responded after the driver of a Krispy Kreme doughnut truck noticed his vehicle was smoking on Monday (December 31st, 2018.) The driver safely escaped, but the truck got engulfed in flames, and the doughnuts inside didn’t make it. The Lexington Police Department posted a few photos online depicting the heartbroken officers with their heads cast down, the singed truck in the background. They captioned their photos, “No words,” and their colleagues from the across the U.S. were quick to respond with messages of support. The University of Kentucky Police Department wrote, “We feel your loss. We donut what else to say.” The investigation into the fire is ongoing as the cause is unknown.
