NFL STAR DONATES PAYCHECK TO FAMILY OF DRIVE-BY SHOOTING VICTIM

NFL star DeAndre Hopkins is as big-hearted as they come. The Houston Texans wide receiver has pledged his playoff check to the family of 7-year-old Jazmine Barnes, who was killed in a drive-by shooting in Houston last weekend — and is playing Saturday in her honor.

… DeAndre tweeted Thursday: “When I see Jazmine Barnes’ face, I see my own daughter. I’m pledging my playoff check this week to help her family with funeral costs and to support [efforts] in bringing this man to justice. On Saturday, I will be playing in your honor, Jazmine.”

… Hopkins’ will donate a playoff check worth $29,000 to the family. The Texans face the Indianapolis Colts Saturday.
