Delta Airlines and Coca-Cola have apologized for giving Delta passengers napkins that encouraged them to write down their phone numbers and give it to their "plane crush."
The napkins, which had Diet Coke logos, said, "because you’re on a plane full of interesting people and hey… you never know," and on the other side, "be a little old school, write down your number and give it to your plane crush," along with spaces to write your name and number. After fliers tweeted at the companies about the napkins, calling them creepy, they apologized and Delta said they, quote, "missed the mark with this one," and was removing the napkins. There were some fliers who liked the napkins, however, with one tweeting: "Thanks . . . for encouraging people to TALK to one another, make new friends, or do anything besides stare mindlessly at phones."
