A shelter dog named Geronimo spent 1,145 days at the Humane Society of Summit County in Ohio patiently waiting to be adopted. After three years of waiting, the 6-year-old dog has fallen in love with a forever family. Geronimo went home with his new pet parents on Saturday. The American Staffordshire terrier/pit bull/Mastiff mix was helped by a bit of good press. In December, an Ohio newspaper wrote an article about Geronimo’s predicament.
