Have you seen the "fake plane ride challenge"? Very sneaky...

Apparently lots of people are worried about impressing their followers on social media. The latest weird thing people are participating in is the "fake plane ride challenge." In recent weeks, people on the Chinese social media site Weibo have been partaking in the challenge, allegedly racking up over 27 million views. Pranksters begin their self-produced videos showing footage of sweeping aerial views of the Earth, like one would see from a plane window, edged with a plastic, oval-shaped frame. They then slowly pan the camera out, and reveal their footage came from a smartphone, and their plane window was the handle of a cleaning product of even a toilet seat. Twitter users picked up on the trend and mocked it, with one writing, "When you are on a budget but still needs to impress Instagram."
