A Glynn County, Georgia, police officer recognized statewide as an expert on impaired driving, was arrested Monday — on DUI charges. Kevin Yarborough was arrested by a state patrol trooper after the trooper said he spotted Yarborough swerving. Yarborough was once named the “State of Georgia Drug Recognition Expert of the Year” by the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety and the Georgia chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving. A report from the Georgia State Patrol says Yarborough swerved while driving on SR 25 and turning onto Cate Road. According to the report, he admitted to taking two shots within 45 minutes of the incident and his breath test registered at .116, above the legal .08 limit.
