Some people avoid gluten because they're allergic to it, while others just do so because it's a trendy thing to do. If you're in the former category you should know that a newly released study found gluten in 32 percent of restaurant foods marked as gluten-free. Researchers found 53.2 percent of these pizzas and 50.8 of these pastas contained gluten (less than 20 parts per million.) Still, study leaders say they don't want to cause panic, they just want people with a gluten allergy or celiac disease to feel comfortable asking the waiter how things are prepared.
