Burger King plans to release Impossible Whopper (meat free) nationwide

Remember I told you that Burger King was test marketing a plant-based burger--no meat, but it tasted just like beef.

Burger King announced that its vegan burger, the Impossible Whopper, has been such a big success in test markets that the company plans to make it available in all locations by the end of the year. People say the vegan Whopper is just as tasty as the original Whopper.

“Our Impossible Whopper test in St. Louis went exceedingly well and as a result we plan to extend testing into additional markets in the very near future,” a spokesman for Burger King's parent company, Restaurant Brands Inc., said in a statement.

McDonald's, has yet to put a plant-based burger on its menu. However, other fast-food restaurants such as White Castle and Red Robin already have an Impossible Burger on their menu.
