PUPPY WITH MISSING LEG ADOPTED BY AMPUTEE MILITARY VETERAN

So beautiful. A puppy with a missing leg named Scooter has a new home after being adopted by a military veteran who lost one of his legs after an IED explosion. Scooter was found with a severed leg in a wooded area near Burns, Tennessee, in June, with veterinarians believing he got his leg stuck and had to gnaw it off to free himself. Veteran Joshua Ferguson adopted Scooter from the Humane Society of Dickson County, and says of his canine best friend: "He makes it easier for me to remember, hey it’s still a beautiful day. You realize really just how tremendous a journey life is."
