This teenager Completes Amazing 28-Mile Swim Around Manhattan For Charity

A 16-year-old girl swam around Manhattan on Saturday (August 17th) for charity, becoming the youngest woman to complete the 20 Bridges Swim, so named because participants swim under 20 bridges around the island. Angel Moore finished the 28-mile swim in nine hours. Moore swims for the non-profit organization Children International, which helps lift children out of poverty around the world. She's raised more than $55,000 so far, but hopes to raise a total of $1 million for a scholarship fund to support 5,000 teens who want to go to high school, college or technical school. Moore swam across the Catalina Channel off California last year, and her next goal is to cross the English Channel!!
