"Global Goal Live: The Possible Dream” is a 10 hour global concert

Acts including Usher, Coldplay, Shawn Mendes, Miley Cyrus, Alicia Keys and many others will perform in a 10-hour, globally broadcast, multi-location concert on September 26, 2020, as part of a year-long initiative titled, “Global Goal Live: The Possible Dream.” Not be be confused with Global Citizen which takes place in New York this weekend.)

Created in partnership with advisory firm Teneo, the globally broadcasted event will span five continents, taking place in New York, Nigeria, and other countries to be announced in Latin America, Europe, and Asia.

Metallica,Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ozzy Osbourne, Cyndi Lauper,Eddie Vedder and Muse are also among the artists confirmed to perform at the 10-hour, “Live Aid”-style concert that will be produced by Global Citizen.

Some of the confirmed co-hosts include Hugh Jackman, Idris Elba, Katie Holmes,Rachel Brosnahan and Trevor Noah, with more to be unveiled.

The event will benefit United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, which aims at ending extreme poverty and tackling climate change. Complete lineups of performers and hosts for each location, and the rest of the locations themselves, will be announced in early 2020. Next year marks the 10-year countdown to achieve the United Nations Global Goals, a roadmap to end extreme poverty and reduce inequality by 2030.
