This is not what you’d expect a trespasser to look like in a New York City apartment. A woman living in Harlem, New York says a Quaker parrot—a species also known as a monk parakeet—flew into her apartment window on Sunday (August 16th.) Erika Banuelos says the bird is tame and appears to be an escaped pet. She said she’s posted about the bird online, in an attempt to find the owner, but so far has only gotten offers to buy the bird. She says she wants to reunite the parrot with its owner and is asking anyone with information about the bird to contact her.
