Danielle and Nick Haugen prepared their home and farm to protect their unborn son after learning he had “bubble boy disease,” a rare genetic immune condition.
Their son JJ was born in December and received a life-saving bone marrow transplant from an anonymous donor in March.
After months of treatment and support from their community, the Haugens have returned home with JJ and are now advocating for others to join the bone marrow registry.
