Ava and Anna were enjoying a day of paddling when they spotted a group of horses near the water. When they stopped to look at them, they noticed a young horse struggling in the fast-moving current, making distress noises. Somehow, Ava and Anna were able to guide him back to shore…but the herd was gone. Not wanting to leave him alone, they put the small horse right in their kayak. Scared and tired, the animal didn’t fight back. They contacted an animal services group, who picked up the horse in a truck and was able to reunite him with his herd. It was a happy ending for all, and an experience Ava and Anna will never forget.
