How Old Is The World's Oldest Chicken?

A Texas woman’s pet chicken, Pearl, has been officially named the world’s oldest living chicken by Guinness World Records at 14 years and 69 days old. Pearl enjoys spending time in the family’s laundry room and watching TV. She also gets along well with the family’s elderly cat and new kitten. Though Pearl’s egg production has slowed, she laid one shortly after being recognized as a Guinness World Record holder, surpassing the previous oldest chicken, Peanut, who died at 21 years old.
