An 82-year-old man in Queensland, Australia, rescued and scolded a koala that wandered into the middle of a busy road. The man, identified as Terry, walked through stopped traffic to retrieve the stranded koala. Terry then carried the animal to safety on the side of the road, where he proceeded to lecture it. According to Terry, he was telling the koala "not to scratch" as he tried to help it, but the "little mongrel just kept scratching." Despite some "battle scars," Terry said he is not too bothered by the incident. He has since returned to the location and spotted the koala, now nicknamed Ted, again.
