Stranger Helps Savannah Student That Lost Everything In Lightning Strike

Last month, a lightning strike caused a fire at an apartment complex in Savannah, leaving nearly 20 people without a home, including Georgia Southern student Bella Rosales. Her story caught the attention of Mike Horn from Statesboro, who felt compelled to help.

Mike had been through hard times himself, losing everything in Hurricane Helene and then his wife passed away shortly after. Using furniture left behind from his late wife’s store, he surprised Bella, who’d been living with nothing but a mattress and bed frame.
