A seventh-grade football player in Euless, Texas collapsed after a game and was revived on the sidelines by athletic trainers using CPR and an AED.
The quick actions of trainers and EMS helped stabilize the boy, who was awake and talking by the time they took him to the hospital for further care.
School officials credit the district’s cardiac emergency response plan, developed with the American Heart Association, for helping to save the boy’s life.
