Earlier this month, Carrie Edwards of Chesterfield, Virginia, won $150-thousand in the Powerball lottery drawing.
Instead of keeping the prize, she donated the entire sum to three charities: the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration, Shalom Farms, and the Navy-Marine Relief Society.
Edwards said the gifts reflect healing, service, and community, turning her unexpected windfall into a meaningful act of generosity.
