Barber Hailed As Hero

A Turkish barber potentially saved a teenager’s life by spotting a cancerous lump during a routine haircut. He noticed the growth on 17-year-old Owen’s neck while cutting his hair and advised him to “get it checked out.” Owen immediately saw his GP, who referred him to a specialist. Tests revealed Hodgkin lymphoma, a rare cancer affecting the lymphatic system. Owen began chemotherapy in January and completed treatment on May 1st. He entered remission in early June and hopes for clearance next June. The teenager recently reunited with the barber, who said, “I hope he’s going to have a long life, healthy, and he’s never going to see the hospital and doctors again.”
