Last Sunday, Frank LaFerrara of Ocean City, New Jersey, rescued a young woman caught in a rip current after hearing her cries for help at the beach. He swam into rough waters to reach her, calming her down and guiding her toward shore with help from another beachgoer, Johnny Cerda. Their teamwork and bravery saved the woman’s life, earning praise from witnesses and local officials for their quick, selfless actions.
