Markus Klewin spotted a car moving in circles outside a Bozeman, Montana, gas station. Initially, he thought the driver was intentionally “doing donuts” but soon realized there was no one behind the wheel. The driver had suffered a seizure and fallen out of the moving vehicle.
Klewin jumped into the open driver’s side door of the moving car, pressed the brakes, and stopped the vehicle before running inside to call 911. Police and EMS arrived moments later and provided medical care for the driver, who is now recovering. Klewin says he acted on instinct and “kind of blacked out during the whole thing,” later calling footage of the incident “crazy” to watch.
The 24-year-old Eagle Scout says he injured his ankle slightly in the incident but feels fortunate to have been able to help and grateful for being “in the right place, right time.”
