The Bow Police Department in New Hampshire helped a truck driver on Saturday after he reported having around 250 extra whole chickens with nowhere to take them.
Working with the Fire Department, officers transported the surplus chickens from the a truck stop to the Friendly Kitchen in Concord. The soup kitchen accepted the donation and plans to use the food to help feed community members in need. The driver’s unexpected surplus ultimately became a large contribution to local hunger-relief efforts.
