Anchorage Boy Battling Cancer Delivers Easter Joy to Hospitalized Kids
A powerful story out of Anchorage, Alaska, where 12‑year‑old Nathan Yuill, who’s fighting stage 4 Hodgkin lymphoma, spent his Easter giving back. Nathan delivered more than 100 Easter baskets to young patients at two local children’s hospitals — because he knows exactly how tough those hospital days can be.
His family launched a fundraiser and hit over $2,000 in just 24 hours, enough to buy 124 baskets for kids at Providence Children’s Hospital and the Alaska Native Medical Center. Nurses say gestures like this help kids feel like kids again, even on the hardest days.
Nathan’s mom says he stays unbelievably positive through his own battle, always telling her, “Mom, I’m okay. I’m going to be okay.” His compassion — even while fighting cancer — is inspiring an entire community.
