Listening session being held to discuss possible Ga. Power rate increase

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Citizens have a chance to have their say on a possible rate increase for Georgia Power.

The Vice Chair of the Georgia Public Service Commission will be in town on Wednesday, Oct. 16 to hear the public’s comments and concerns.

Georgia Power wants to raise the base rate by about $8 over the next few years.

Wednesday’s listening session will be from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Coastal Georgia Center on Fahm Street.
