Witnessed this man giving a homeless man the shirt off of his back, literally. Y’all, it is freezing cold in Alabama. This poor man was standing at a red light desperately trying to stay warm. If you listen closely, you’ll hear the guy proceeding to tell him that he was going to get him something to eat and that he’d be right back. I was in tears. This is the kind of people we need more of in this world. This is absolutely beautiful... #FaithInHumanity
Another story along those same lines:
In Chicago, passengers on a city transit train were amazed and inspired when a stranger struck up a conversation with a homeless man and ended up giving that man the winter boots off his feet.
Because a Facebook post about the encounter went viral, the stranger was identified as Maurice Anderson, who told his side of the story.
Maurice was bothered that the homeless man's shoes were tattered and wondered how many socks the man had to wear just to keep warm.
Knowing that his boots would certainly help the guy, he handed them over -- along with an extra pair of socks he had in his suitcase.
Luckily, Maurice also had an extra pair of shoes for himself in that suitcase to get him home -- but was mostly thankful to be in a position to help someone who really needed it.
