It's never been done before: Skyped Questions Make It Into the Daily White House Press Briefing

The daily White House press briefing went 21st century high-tech yesterday (February 1st) when Press Secretary Sean Spicer took several questions that were asked via Skype from journalists around the country, in addition to the questions he got from reporters in the room. Spicer said at his first press briefing last month that he wanted to include journalists in the daily briefing who were outside of Washington and whose news organizations didn't have reporters with White House press passes. Spicer said, "I think this can benefit us all by giving a platform to voices that are not necessarily based here in the Beltway."
