Imagine walking into your workplace and having a coyote follow you inside. South Carolina spine surgeon Steve Poletti walked into his office through the employees-only door and had no reason to look down or consider that he was being followed. He had no idea a coyote was right on his heels. At first glance he thought it was a dog. But when it bared its teeth and started growling, he knew it was a coyote. Dr. Poletti says he distracted the coyote by jingling his keys, then made a run for it. He says the animal followed him until it got distracted by a squirrel.
