MAN RAISES $400K FOR CHILDREN’S HOME BY SAVING SCRAPS FOR DECADES

posted by Mark Robertson -

In 1985 Johnny Jennings visited a children’s home in Georgia. During his visit three boys ran up to Jennings begging him to adopt them. After that incident he decided to help them financially as he wasn’t ready to adopt child of his own. From that day he start collecting paper and aluminum products from business, organizations and churches. After 32 years he collected a surprising amount of waste — $400,000 worth. All of it gifted to the children’s home (Georgia Baptist Home for Children).
