An album from the children of The Bee Gees

The adult children of Barry, Maurice, Robin, and Andy Gibb have joined forces to record an album. The group has been named Gibb Collective, and features Barry's sons Stephen and Travis; Robin's sons Spencer and Robin John; Maurice's children Samantha and Adam; and Andy's daughter Peta, who cover their father's classic songs. According to Noise 11, "the album is titled Please Don’t Turn Out The Lights with the eldest child of all four brothers singing the title track." No release date has been announced.

In the video promoting the album, Samantha Gibb, who tours with her uncle Barry explains, "It started when my partner Lazaro and I decided to do a cover of (the Bee Gees') 'New York Mining Disaster 1941.' We loved the way it turned out and thought it would be really cool to do more if it. We had been wanting to do a tribute for a long time for my dad and my uncles. It started to feel like the right time so we started to reach out then we talked to everybody. Each person decided to do a take on a track that was one of their favorites. The next thing we knew we had a 10 song album." Peta Gibb went on to say: "I can’t think of any better way for the Gibb cousins to celebrate their father’s legacy." Robin John added: "When I was asked to be part of the project I was very happy to be a part of it. It shows the musical legacy of the family is still strong. The family should do more of this.”
